A food labelling updat seminar, organised by Camden BRI to take place on 4 December, will, it says, provide a regulatory updat on food labelling, focusing on some of the current key issues. There will sessions on:
+ Brexit – Leaving the EU will have an impact upon various elements of food labelling and there is uncertainty around how these changes will be applied. This session will look at the current situation in terms of expected changes and any recent updates to guidance on application.
+ Health and nutrition, marketing terms and claims – Consumers are increasingly health conscious and brands are keen to make health and nutrition claims on pack, but this is a tightly regulated area. Similarly, product name and marketing terms require a fine balance between product promotion, technical information and consumer protection. This session will look at types of claims being made and the latest regulatory perspectives.
The seminar will examine the current and forthcoming labelling landscape and look at updates to key legislation and guidance. Various perspectives will be offered from industry, consumer, policy and enforcement to enable delegates to ensure they are up to date with the latest developments that need to be considered when looking at food labels. It will also provide delegates the opportunity to network with industry peers.
The seminar has been designed for anyone involved in food labelling and information provision; from product development, technical management, quality assurance and marketing to regulatory affairs and enforcement.
