Eurogerm, a leader in ingredients and processing aids for the wheat-flour-bread sector, has opened its twelfth international subsidiary. The new company, created in October 2018 and based in Kfarhbab, Lebanon, will accelerate the groups growth in the Middle East.
By creating Eurogerm Middle-East, the Eurogerm Group, which has been present in this area for several years, wishes to increase its visibility on these high-potential markets.
Eurogerm Middle-East is managed by Ramy Kfoury, previously Sales Manager, Middle East and present in the Eurogerm Group for 3 years. The new structure will promote the groups growth in this sector and the development of local partnerships while improving the services provided, in particular with the creation of a baking center.
“The goal of this implementation is to get closer to our customers to offer a local service. To do this we will invest in a baking center located near Beirut us to receive our customers and develop products suited to the market needs. We chose Lebanon because it is a country dual Western and Arab culture ideally located to radiate throughout the Near and Middle East,” he tells FoodIngredientsFirst.
Benoît Huvet, Eurogerm’s Chief Operating Officer, and Jean-Philippe Girard, its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, commented: "The creation of Eurogerm Middle-East is a new step and follows our recent openings in Italy, Germany and Colombia. Carried out in association with our local partner, it is based on the export development model and is fully in line with our ambition to expand internationally.”
Founded in 1989 by Girard, Eurogerm develops, produces and markets milling correctors, bread-making improvers and ingredients to improve regularity and quality, and thus enhance wheat, flour and bread products. Via its global and original “from diagnosis to formulation” offer, Eurogerm has become the French leader in its sector, and deploys its offer abroad.
The 12 subsidiaries outside of France are as follows: Eurogerm Gmbh (Germany), Eurogerm Italia, Eurogerm Iberia (Spain), Eurogerm Morocco, Eurogerm Senegal, Eurogerm South Africa, Problend Eurogerm (USA), Eurogerm Estrali (Mexico), Eurogerm Colombia, Eurogerm Andina (Peru), Eurogerm Bresil and now Eurogerm Middle East.
