US-based healthy snack foods manufacturing company Stryve has promoted Jaxie Alt to the role of co-CEO effective immediately.
In addition to Alt promotion, Stryve has also expanded its C-suite executive’s team. It has appointed Alex Hawkins as a chief operating officer and Billie Winkle as chief financial officer. It has also made Bruce Boettner as a chief sales officer.
Alt joined the company in March last year as chief marketing officer. This came after a 17-year association with Keurig Dr Pepper, wher she was responsible for overseeing the product portfolio.
Stryve said that, since Alt joined the company, its sales have doubled. This has made it one of the ‘leading biltong brands’ in the US.
In her new role as the co-CEO of the company, Alt will continue to manage nationwide marketing efforts.
Stryve Board member and founder of Rx Bar Peter Rahal said: “Jaxie’s passion to put something healthy in the world is contagious.
“Her energy and expertise are key ingredients that have helped this startup find its voice and established a brand that can be successful in going to market now and in the future.”
Alt said: “I’m thrilled about the team we’ve assembled to help Stryve grow. As consumer interest in healthy eating continues, and awareness and understanding of biltong expands, I believe we now have the leadership team in place to reach our goal to help America snack better.”
According to industry estimates, the meat snack sector in the US grew more than 9% in the last year.
Stryve added that it aims to double its sales this year in the US market.
