Goya Foods has announced plans to nearly double the capacity of its North American Processing Center in Brookshire, Texas.
The facility will undergo an $80 million expansion that will include new processing equipment. The project will add capacity for Goya beans and other products, demand for which has increased during the pandemic.
The Brookshire facility serves as Goya’s main manufacturing and distribution hub for the West. Goya moved there in 2013, and it underwent an expansion about two years ago that nearly doubled its size.
"Goya is committed to meeting increased consumer demand for our products from all consumers across the United States and abroad. We are grateful for the overwhelming support of the Goya brand and we are fortunate to be able to give back to communities around the globe donating millions of pounds of food through our Goya Gives program," Bob Unanue, President and CEO of Goya Foods, said in a statement.
