Frutarom Savoury Solutions has expanded its marinades and dressings portfolio.

Inspired by falafel, the Levant marinade combines garlic, parsley, onion and cumin flavours. The Masala variant is a combination of tomato, pepper, cardamom, ginger and coconut.

"Both marinades are suitable for use with poultry, pork and fish, with the Levant option also being particularly good with lamb," says a Frutarom spokesman. "Each delivers an appealing brightness, is free from monosodium glutamate and contains no hydrogenated fat."

Meanwhile, the dressings – Universal and Herb – can be used as a base for virtually any type of salad dressing, says the firm.

"Universal dressing is characterised by its balanced vinegar note and its pleasant basic flavour of onions," adds the spokesman. "And the Herb dressing compound contains traditional garden herbs such as dill, parsley and chives, as well as visible onion pieces."
