NutriScience and Taiyo have entered a joint partnership agreement through which Taiyo will supply ElderMune, a TRU-ID certified elderberry juice concentrate formulated with the prebiotic Sunfiber, to food and beverage companies in North and South America.

By using Taiyo’s Sunfiber instead of carriers or additives such as maltodextrin, the company says, ElderMune delivers both immune and digestive health benefits. The ingredients work to enhance the absorption of elderberry’s immune-supporting phytonutrients in the digestive tract. Sunfiber also reportedly replaces some of the natural elderberry fibre lost during the juicing process. Both the elderberry juice and Sunfiber that comprise ElderMune are GRAS.

The powder is also water-soluble, and created through a low-temperature drying process that reportedly helps maintain higher levels of key antioxidants – polyphenols and anthocyanins.

Instead of only desiring seasonal support during the winter months, people now consider immunity a part of their overall daily wellness regimen, the companies say.

ElderMune can be formulated with ingredients that support eye, joint, cognitive, cardiovascular health and in multivitamins.

One such finished product is Regular Girl Restore, a dietary supplement formula introduced in 2021 that combines several premium ingredients to help consumers control stress and enjoy more restorative sleep. Those ingredients include Suntheanine, a patented, clinically researched stress reduction ingredient and ElderMune to support the immune system.
