Suanfarma has reached an agreement to acquire a majority of botanical R&D specialist Monteloeder. Located in the Spanish Mediterranean region, Monteloeder serves the nutraceutical and functional food markets, focusing on ‘quality, science and innovation’.

Throughout more than 25 years in the market, the company has experienced international growth, developing a presence in the USA and Asia. 

Suanfarma aims to expand the company’s product offering into its core markets and take advantage of Monteloeder’s R&D department to strengthen its development of scientifically-backed ingredients. 

The acquisition significantly strengthens Suanfarma’s development and industrial capabilities in the nutritional sector, and is hoped to further develop the group’s presence in areas such as weight management, cardiovascular health, nutricosmetics, relaxation and sleep enhancement.
