Ingredients supplier Azelis has entered a new partnership with flavor house Symrise in India and Indonesia. This collaboration is expected to bring new solutions that enrich taste and improve the nutritional profile of end products to these markets.
The new mandate builds on existing relationships with Symrise in other markets, and sees Azelis adding Symrise’s dairy, confectionery and bakery flavor portfolio to the group’s food and nutrition lateral value chain in India.
“We believe in offering differentiated natural ingredient-based and sustainable taste solutions to our customers,” remarks Kapil Sethia, Symrise vice president – Marketing, Business Units & Key Accounts APAC.
“From simple but powerful flavors to complex taste compositions and multi-sensorial flavor ingredients, customers can now selec from a greater variety of products for different applications and requirements from a consolidated source.”
Expanding into new territories
Symrise specializes in creating inspiring flavor ingredients and solutions, and is recognized for its taste balancing options and natural ingredients that meet consumer demands and market trends.
Last month, the German flavor giant released its financial data for the third quarter of the year, revealing a “much stronger than expected” organic growth. The company this year has been exploring shifts in taste preferences across broad geographies and age groups.
In Indonesia, the addition of Symrise’s dairy, bakery, processed meat and culinary application flavors and ingredients enhances Azelis’ position in the local food and nutrition market segment.
The addition of Symrise’s flavor portfolio broadens Azelis’ comprehensive offering in India and Indonesia, enabling it to offer new formulations and ingredient insights to partners.
“Our partnership with Symrise reinforces our position as a one-stop shop for customers, wher we can provide them with high-quality, innovative flavor ingredients and comprehensive solutions thanks to our technical and formulation expertise,” says Kimberly Chung, Azelis Asia Pacific business development director.
“Symrise’s market-leading products are a great addition to our lateral value chain. Their extensive range of taste products will enhance our food and nutrition offering, complementing our portfolio of advanced texturizing, nutritional and processing aids products.”
Symrise recently held an in-depth webinar on taste balancing solutions and market insights, hosted on FoodIngredientsFirst. You can view the recorded event here.
