In the US, ByHeart is recalling its Whole Nutrition Infant Formula, Milk based Powder with Iron for 0-12 months due to a potential cross-contamination with Cronobacter sakazakii.
The product is sold in 24oz containers and was distributed to consumers in the US.
It can be identified by the number on the bottom of the can. The recalled product batches are 22273 C1, 22276 C1, 22277 C1, 22278 C1, and 22280 C1 printed with use by date of 01 JAN 24 or 01JUL 24.
ByHeart has said that none of the distributed product has tested positive for any contaminants and no consumer complaints have been received that would indicate any illness.
The company has said that it recalling five batches of the product “out of an abundance of caution”. ByHeart has also stated that it owns manufacturing supply chain with the exception of final canning, which is conducted by a third-party packager, wherby the cross-contamination reportedly occurred.

Additionally, ByHeart has said that affected customers will receive two cans of their next order of ByHeart Whole Nutrition Formula for free.
Meanwhile in the UK, COOK Kitchen is recalling its Beef Bourguignon due to the presence of wheat (gluten) that is not on the label.
The product is sold in a pack size of 270g and has the batch code 000019, 000020. The best before date of the recalled product is 17 August 2023. It is also sold in a larger pack size of 540g. This size has a batch code of 000741 and the best before date 17 August 2023.
COOK Kitchen has said that has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations which will tell their members about the recall. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers.
Customers who have bought the product and have coeliac disease and an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten has been advised not to eat it. Instead, they can return it to the store of purchase for a full refund.
Elsewher in the UK, Baked In is recalling its Chocolate Orange cookie Mix because of the presence of soya that is not mentioned on the label.
The recalled product is sold in a pack size of 390g, has the batch code number 222992209 and the best before date 16 November 2023.
Baked In has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations which will tell their members about the recall.
Customers who have bought the product and have an allergy to soya have been advised not to eat it and return it to the store of purchase for a full refund.
