In the UK, Tahira Foods is recalling a number of products due to poor temperature control which makes them unsafe to eat. The recalls are England and Scotland specific.
To find the full list of the products being recalled along with their batch codes, click here. The company has said the products sold at Morrisons, Coop and or/Asda stores are not affected by the recall.
In response to the recall, Tahira Foods will be issuing point of sale notices to be displayed in all retail stores wher the affected products are sold to explain to customers what they should do if they have bought the product.
Customers have been advised not to eat the products if they have bought them, instead they can return them to the store of purchase for a full refund.
Elsewher in the UK, Yaadgaar Operations Limited is recalling Yaadgaar Assorted Baklava as it contains milk which is not mentioned on the label.
The product comes in three pack sizes including 200g, 500g and 1kg with the batch codes 2311, 2324 and 3016. The best before dates to look out for are 7 May 2023, 20 May 2023 and 16 July 2023.
Yaadgaar Operations Limited has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will inform their members of the recall. In addition, the company has also issued a point of sale notice to its customers to explain why the product is being recalled and to tell them what to do if they have bought the product.
Customers that have bought the product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents have been advised not to eat it. Instead they can return it to the store of purchase for a full refund.
Over in the US, Chukar Cherry Company of Prosser, Washington is recalling a limited number of its Cherry Bombs because the product may contain hazelnuts that are not mentioned on the label.
The recalled products were sold exclusively in Chukar Cherry Company stores in Prosser and Seattle. This recall on affects products sold in 12oz packages with the best by dates: 072023, 082023, 092023, 102023, 122023, 012024 and 022024.
The company has said that no other Chukar Cherry Company products are part of this recall and no allergic reactions have been reported to date.
The advice for consumers who have purchased the product and have an allergy to hazelnuts is to destroy or return them to the place of purchase if sensitive to hazelnuts.
