In the US, Kawasho Foods USA Inc. of New York is expanding its recall of canned GEISHA Medium Shrimp so that all products are being recalled.
The company has said that this step is being taken out of “an abundance of caution” due to a concern that the product may have been under processed, which could lead to the potential for spoilage organisms or pathogens. This decision was made following the company receiving further information from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The GEISHA Medium Shrimp is packaged in a 4oz metal can, and the UPC code is 071140003909.
Customers that have purchased the product have been advised not to use it, even if it does not look or smell spoiled. They have been urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
Meanwhile, in the UK Melting Moments is recalling its Melting Moments Frosted Carrot Cakes as they contain peanuts which are not mentioned on the label.
The product is sold in a six pack and has a best before date of 26 April 2023 and 1 May 2023.
The company has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers to explain what they should do if they have bought the product.
Advice states that is consumers have an allergy to peanut, they should not eat the recalled product. Instead they can return it to the store of purchase for a full refund.
Elsewher in the UK, Rude Health is recalling its Organic Ultimate Muesli as it contains brazil nuts that are not mentioned on the label.
The product is sold in a pack size of 400g and has the batch code 23039 L7. The best before date to look out for is 08 February 2024.
Rude health has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations that will inform its members about the recall. The company has also issued a point of sale notice to explain to consumers why the product is being recalled.
