In the UK, Doritos is recalling Doritos Tangy Cheese due to the presence of soya in the product that is not stated on the ingredients list.
The recalled product comes in a pack size of 180g are were sold in Tesco stores. This product has a best before date of 01 June 2024. In addition Doritos Tangy Cheese 5 x 30g multipacks which are sold in Poundland are also being recalled and have a best before date of 01 June 2024.
As well as recalling the above products, Doritos has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations that will inform their members about the recall.
Customers that have purchased the above items and have an allergy to soya have been advised not to eat it and instead return it to the store of purchase for a full refund.
Meanwhile, in the US, Electric City Sweets is recalling a total of 1,644 Red Velvet Milk Chocolate Bars as the product contains milk that is not mentioned on the ingredient statement and allergy statement.
Electric City Sweets initiated the recall after a consumer reported the issue to the retailer whom they had purchased the product from.

The recalled product was distributed in the US through online ordering at Electric City Sweets and Wholesale accounts. Locations included in this recall are: Scranton, PA, Milford, PA, Delray Beach, FL, Marina Del Rey, CA, Orlando, FL and North Carolina.
While the packaging on the front “identified the allergen on the front panel display”, it did not contain the necessary milk allergen information on the ingredients list.
The recalled product can be identified as it comes in a 1.75OZ size and has the UPC code #860005974467. The lot codes to look out for are 0101461635 (best by date 05/16/2025) and lot code 0101542739 (best by date 05/29/2025).
The company claims that, to date, “no illnesses have been reported”.
