Undeclared peanuts

In the UK, FGS Ingredients Ltd is continuing its recent major recall on food and spice products that contain mustard.

These products are being recalled as they may contain peanuts not listed on the label, posing a serious health risk for individuals with a peanut allergy.

Customers are advised to check the latest allergy alert on the FSA website for updated products added to the recall list.

Anyone who has purchased any of these products and has a peanut allergy should not consume them. Instead, they should return the products to the store wher they were bought for a full refund.

Potential Listeria monocytogenes

In the US this week, CIBUS Fresh is recalling its products containing Glenview Farms Spreadable Brie (2/3 lb) due to a supplier notification of possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

Listeria monocytogenes can cause severe, sometimes fatal infections, particularly in young children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems. Healthy individuals may experience short-term symptoms such as fever, headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. In pregnant women, infection can lead to miscarriage or stillbirth.

The recalled Autumn Turkey Sandwich product was distributed in six states under the following labels: CIBUS Fresh, Jack & Olive, and Sprig and Sprout.

No other CIBUS Fresh products are affected by this recall.

For UPCs and best-before dates of all recalled products, please refer to the FDA recall page here.
