Organic and natural experts The Hain Celestial Group has entered into a joint venture with Future Consumer Limited in India.
The strategic alliance between Mumbai-based Future Consumer Limited (FCL) - the food and fast moving consumer good (FMCG) arm of the Future Group -and Hain Tilda India Private Limited will pursue joint interests in food marketing and developments in India.
FCL is considered a retail pioneer in the country with multiple retail formats and aims to build quality consumer products for the next generation of Indian consumers. Under the joint venture, there will be a range of manufacturing and marketing better-for-you natural and organic products. This will happen across categories like snacks, plant-based beverages and toddler and kids food products under various Hain Celestial brands including Terra, Garden of Eatin, Sensible Portions, Dream and Earths Best.
Hain Tilda will continue to market and distribute products under the Tilda brand. "We are pleased to expand our presence in India with the Future Group," says Irwin D. Simon, founder, president and CEO of Hain Celestial. "Rajnish Ohri, our managing director in India, and his team will work together with Future Group to provide us with an opportunity to grow distribution of Hain Celestials brands and products throughout India with its growing population and our focus on families in a more meaningful way."
