Dr Rohini Manuel is Consultant Clinical Microbiologist, National Infection Service, Public Health England. She is the clinical lead for the London regional Clostridium difficile Ribotyping Network service. She has published over 50 papers on infection and public health issues. Her main clinical and academic interests are in gastrointestinal infections and mycology, particularly in immunocompromised individuals. She is a member of the FSA’s Advisory Committee on Novel Foods and Processes. She has carried out no political activity in the past five years and holds no other Ministerial appointments. Her term is from 1 January 2017 until 31 March 2021.
Dr Gwen Lowe is Consultant in Public Health Medicine and Consultant in Communicable Disease Control in Wales (Public Health Wales NHS Trust). She is a Proper Officer for local authorities in Wales (and Port Medical Officer for local authorities with ports) for legislation related to the control of communicable disease and health protection. She is an operational lead for health protection emergency response for Public Health Wales and is also the Chair of the South Wales Local Resilience Forum Infectious Diseases Group, which plans for major infectious disease issues. She has carried out no political activity in the past five years and holds no other Ministerial appointments. Her term is from 1 January 2017 until 31 March 2019.
Mrs Emma Hill is Head of Food, Health, Safety and Environment at CH&Co Group Ltd. She has worked for CH&Co Group Ltd for 18 years. She is a member of the food experts group with the British Hospitality Association and has worked within the group to produce a new Catering Industry Guide. She has carried out no political activity in the past five years and holds no other Ministerial appointments. Her term is from 1 January 2017 until 31 March 2019.
Miss Heather Lawson is Senior Environmental Health Officer at the Royal Borough of Greenwich (she has previously worked at Dartford Borough Council). She has been working in food safety teams for over 13 years wher she is involved in food hygiene and food standards inspections as well as offering advice and guidance to food businesses. The majority of her food safety inspection work involves microbiological food safety issues. She provides manufacturers in her borough with help and assistance on labelling issues together with other advice on food law. She has carried out no political activity in the past five years and holds no other Ministerial appointments. Her term is from 1 January 2017 until 31 March 2019.

Dr Gary Barker is Senior Senior Research Scientist, Institute of Food Research (IFR). He has been actively involved in research science since 1981 in the Physics Department at Sheffield University and from 1984 at the IFR. His term has been extended until 31 March 2021.
Mr David Nuttall is currently Catering Manager at Harper Adams University. He has 30 years of practical experience in the catering industry internationally as a qualified chef at executive level and over 20 years experience in the commercial world of Universities. His term has been extended until 31 March 2020.
