Organic products manufacturer Hain Celestial has agreed to acquire Yorkshire Provender, a UK-based premium branded soup company.
An agreement to this effect was signed by one of Hain Celestials subsidiaries, and its terms have not been disclosed.
Hain Celestial founder, president and CEO Irwin Simon said: "We welcome Belinda and Terry Williams, co-founders of Yorkshire Provender, to the Hain Celestial family and look forward to working with the Yorkshire Provender team in leading the next chapter of the brands development.
"Yorkshire Provender has a premium brand positioning that complements our New Covent Garden Soup Co. and Cully & Sully brands in the UK."
The acquisition will allow Hain Celestial to expand its soup portfolio with the addition of Yorkshire Provenders gluten-free flavours.
Hain Celestial said that the acquisition is subject to approval from the Competition and Markets Authority in the UK.

Following the acquisition, Yorkshire Provender will continue to operate from its Yorkshire location.
Founded in 2007, the soup company generated close to £6m in net sales during the previous year.
In January, Hain Celestial and Future Consumer have established a joint venture to manufacture, market and distribute healthy natural and organic products in India.
The JV will offer a wide range of products, including snacks, plant-based beverages and toddler and kids food products under various Hain Celestial brands, including Terra, Garden of Eatin, Sensible Portions, Dream and Earths Best.
