The global investment and expansion plans of Pecan Deluxe Candy have been praised by Nigel Adams MP following a meeting with Graham Kingston, Managing Director of Pecan Deluxe Candy’s Europe and APAC (Asia Pacific) regions.
Mr Adams, who represents the Selby and Ainsty constituency, visited the food tailor’s EMEA headquarters in Yorkshire to learn more about the business. Following an inspection of some of the company’s most innovative food developments created by an expert team of food technologists, Mr Adams was guided around the company’s production facilities which are undergoing an upgrade development programme to help meet evolving trends for new flavours and food solutions.
Pecan Deluxe specialises in the development and supply of bespoke ingredients to bakery, ice cream, dessert, breakfast and snack industries, among many other market sectors. The company expects to spend more than £3million across its European operations during the next 18 months.
Graham Kingston explained: “Pecan Deluxe is investing heavily in infrastructure, facilities and staff in order to consolidate the company’s reputation as a global ‘food tailor’, creating custom-engineered solutions according to localised tastes and legislation. I am totally committed to the ongoing development of the company, especially maximising relationships between Western and Eastern markets to the ultimate benefit of both geographies.”
Nigel Adams added: “My visit to Pecan Deluxe Candy was fascinating, with discussions encompassing issues such as employment, investment, export and import implications amongst other topics. It’s very gratifying to see a company such as this investing in R&D and other developments in order to fulfil its aim of being the leading food ingredient innovator across Europe and APAC.”
