According to the company’s 2016 Impact for Growth Progress Report, the company achieved a 7% reduction in CO2 emissions and an 18% reduction in water usage from its manufacturing facilities.
The company has also maintained 100% Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) goal with 96% of its palm oil traceable back to the mill. It also expanded its sustainable cocoa sourcing programme by 20%.

Currently using 15% cage-free eggs to manufacture its products in the US, Canada and the EU, Mondelez aims to use 100% cage-free eggs in the US and Canada by 2020 and in EU by 2025.
It has eliminated 46,300t of packaging, reaching the two-third mark of its 2020 target.

The report also indicated that the company has surpassed its goal to increase the number of individually wrapped portion-control options by achieving a 39% growth against the 25% goal.
Mondelez has allocated more than $42m to healthy lifestyle community partnerships across 14 countries.
Going forward, the company aims to increase ten existing well-being brands at twice the rate of the base portfolio, improve the nutrition and ingredient profile of its Power Brands, as well as deliver 15% of revenue from individually wrapped, portion-control snack options that are under 200 calories.
