American food service distributor Creation Gardens has acquired Kentucky-based company Bluefin Seafood (Bluefin) for an undisclosed amount.
For more than two decades, Bluefin has been delivering seafood and customer service to chefs and restaurants in the tri-state area.
With the latest acquisition, Bluefin expects to further strengthen its presence in Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio, as well as enhance its product portfolio.
"Our chefs will now be able to access almost everything they need to operate their culinary programme.”
Creation Gardens president Ron Turnier said: "This acquisition now completes our quest to offer all of the challenging product lines in food service, wher focused teams of experts can concentrate on producing a superior product as distribution distractions get pulled out and put on our incredible service platform.
“We choose to offer our chefs daily delivery, industry-leading cut-off times, broken cases, 6,500 stock items, state-of-the-art technology and unmatched service in lieu of a traditional sales force. Our chefs will now be able to access almost everything they need to operate their culinary programme.”
Upon completion of the transaction, Bluefin personnel will continue to work in their existing roles and become part of Creation Gardens family.
Earlier this year, Creation Gardens acquired Joe Lasita and Sons Produce of Cincinnati, and Coe Catanzaro & Sons Produce of Springfield, Ohio.
