Yoshihiro Narisawa of the illustrious Narisawa restaurant in Tokyo has been awarded the prestigious Chefs Choice Award, sponsored by Estrella Damm -- with his restaurant, Narisawa, also taking the number 6 spot in The Asias 50 Best Restaurants Awards. The award ceremony was held on 27 March 2018 at Wynn Palace Cotai.
A mark of quality and excellence, the Chefs Choice Award recognises a culinary leader who has gained the respect and admiration of their peers for inspirational work within the industry. The winner is voted for by other chefs from the Asias 50 Best Restaurants list; Yoshihiro Narisawa is renowned in the industry for his two Michelin starred Tokyo restaurant and for creating his own style of cuisine which he calls Innovative Satoyama -- which focuses on food that takes you on a journey of Japanese ingredients, seasonality and culture.
Synonymous with the unique food and art culture of Barcelona, Estrella Damm has been the Official Beer Partner of the Worlds 50 Best Restaurants and sponsor of the Chefs Choice Award since 2015. This is the first year for Estrella Damm to support Asias 50 Best Restaurants.

Estrella Damm, brewed in Barcelona with Mediterranean ingredients.
Estrella Damm is brewed using the original 1876 recipe, with 100% natural ingredients: barley, hops and rice from the Ebro Delta to give the beer a refreshing palate. To ensure the quality of our ingredients, we work closely with the local farmers, who grow the barley, and we have our own malt house. We also use our unique yeast, that we have been using for 140 years, and a lot of patience, as it takes a minimum of three weeks to complete the fermentation and conditioning process.
In our relentless search for quality we have further darkened our brown bottle to provide 30% more protection against harmful light than the standard brown bottles, to ensure that you can enjoy the true Mediterranean taste of Estrella Damm.
