US-based culinary brand Momofuku has launched its new Ssäm Sauce across the country for the first time.
Ssäm Sauce is currently available in the market in three different flavours including Original, Smoky and Spicy.
The original Ssäm Sauce is produced by combining gochujang, a traditional, umami-rich Korean chili paste, with miso, sake, soy sauce and rice vinegar, while the Smoky flavour sauce features Korean chilies in a tangy sauce, while Ssäm’s Spicy flavour sauce is suitable for fried chicken, tacos and egg sandwiches.
Momofuku founder David Chang said: “The flavours of Ssäm Sauce are part of Momofuku’s DNA. It’s something that we’ve served in the restaurants for 14 years, and it’s crazy to me that it will now be available across the US.
"Momofuku has partnered with Springboard, a new platform created by Kraft Heinz to encourage the growth of disruptive brands within the US food and beverage sector."

Momofuku’s Ssäm Sauce products can be purchased by the consumed through e-commerce website Amazon.

“Korean sauces and flavours have become more and more infused in American cooking, and we are so excited to take a long-time staple in Momofuku’s pantry and introduce this as a staple in home kitchens across the country.”
