Although the move of the Dutch Graphic Group to the new building at Fresh Park Venlo was already scheduled, the printing presses are still in operation at the old locations in Venlo and Blerick. “Too busy,” laughs Nino Venezia. “I couldn’t do it to my customers to unplug the printing presses and stop supplying labels and index cards. We therefore postponed the move a bit.”

The activities of the family company – his wife Anita and sons Enzo and Gino also work for the company – have multiplied in recent years. “We’ve grown from being a regional player to a nationally operating company. Major suppliers work with delivery times of three to four weeks for labels. That’s madness in the fresh produce sector. By shifting production, we can deliver within three days if necessary. However, we’re not a wildcard for companies who need something just once,” Nino says.

“Thanks to these quick delivery times, we gained so many new customers in just the last year alone. Turnover isn’t growing, it’s exploding. While some suppliers once again increased the prices of their labels as of 1 July, we’re not part of that group. That’s an option for us because we’re a family company, we have no overheads. Our customers speak directly to me, Enzo or Gino.”

This summer, the machines from the old location in Venlo will finally be moved, and those from Blerick will follow later this year. “It’s a dream come true to have all activities centralised in one building soon. This allows us to become much more efficient. In the past year, weve already taken enormous strides with our printing presses based on LED technology, but we’ll introduce even more novelties from the new building.”
