Data from the Chinese Trade Industry Research Institute shows that China exported 3.41 million tons of vegetables between January and May, 2018. This is an increase of 10% in comparison with the same period in the previous year. Looking at the wider picture of Chinese vegetable exports in the last five years shows an annual average growth of 4.42%.

The value of Chinese vegetable export between January and May, 2018, reached 5 billion USD, which is a slight increase of 0.2% in comparison with the same period in the previous year. Looking at the wider picture of Chinese vegetable export in the last five years shows an annual average increase in export value of 9.93%.
