What you should do? If you purchased these sandwiches.
If you purchased these sandwiches, do not eat them. Wrap them securely and discard them in a secure garbage can, or take them back to the store wher you bought them for a refund.
Then clean out your refrigerator or freezer or wherver you stored the sandwiches with a solution of 1 tablespoon liquid chlorine bleach to 1 gallon of warm water. Listeria monocytogenes bacteria can grow at refrigerator temperatures. Freezing doesn’t kill this pathogen. Wash your hands with water and soap after cleaning and after handling this product.
If you ate these sandwiches, monitor yourself for the symptoms of listeriosis for the next 70 days. Symptoms include high fever, stiff neck, muscle aches, nausea, pain, and diarrhea. Pregnant women need to be careful of this pathogen, since it can cause miscarriage and stillbirth.
