A new potato line, the Perfect Potato™, is now available from Robinson Fresh® and Albert Bartlett. Developed through a shared passion for producing products for consumers, these bite-sized potato options were created. This product line answers a consumer demand for a flavorful staple with convenient packaging that requires no prep work and is ready to heat and eat, the company says.
The Perfect Potato line includes bite-sized pre-washed potatoes that come in three sizes — 1.5-pound pouches, 5-pound pouches and 1-pound microwaveable trays. The 1-pound microwaveable tray packs include seasoning pairings with each of the following potatoes:
Radiant Red: red potatoes are paired with a Zesto Pesto spice packet, combining pesto with a pinch of Italian spices.
Yummy Yellow: yellow potatoes are matched up with a Steakhouse Sizzle spice packet — a blend of salt, cracked pepper and traditional steakhouse flavors.
Perfect Pair: red and yellow potatoes are paired with a packet of Little Italy seasoning, which includes garlic and Italian herbs.
Marvelous Medley: red, yellow and purple potatoes are combined with a Hawaiian Red Sea Salt seasoning pack.
“Our customers expect Robinson Fresh to continue to bring innovation and new products to the marketplace,” says Michael Castagnetto, vice president of global sourcing at Robinson Fresh. “The potato is the top vegetable by volume in the U.S. according to IRI, and is a great staple food for most families, but more and more consumers demand convenience. That’s why we’re excited about this new product line; it combines ease with innovation.”
“Our potatoes are harvested with equipment specially made for bite-sized potatoes,” says Steve Barker, vice president for Albert Bartlett. “Then, our processing equipment triple washes and dries them before they are packaged and sent to the stores, making them a perfect, go-to potato option. Carefully thought-out growing, harvesting and processing procedures, paired with complex logistics and supply plans, make for the perfect pairing.”
