Kraft Heinz platform Springboard has announced the names of five brands that will be part of its second Incubator Programme.
The chosen participants are Blake’s Seed based, BRAMI, Ka-Pop! Ancient inGRAINed Snack Co, Origin Almond, and Tiny Giants.
Blake’s Seed based is involved in the production of eight popular allergen-free snacks, including protein bars, while Brami is engaged in the production of shelf-stable snacks.
Ka-Pop! offers products intended to replac empty calories with protein, fibre, omega-3s, potassium and vitamins.
Origin Almond using cold-press technology to extract the liquid essence of almonds and Tiny Giants offers a wide range of plant-based yoghurts for children.
Kraft Heinz launched its Springboard platform in 2016 to nurture, scale and accelerate the growth of brands, as well as seek new consumer trends.
The selected startups will participate in a programme composed of learning, funding, infrastructure access, and mentorship in Chicago, Illinois.
Springboard Incubator lead Kelly Reinke said: “We had an incredibly competitive group of applicants. All five companies in our second Incubator class offer delicious products that cater to the better-for-you offerings consumers are demanding.
“Springboard exists to help shape the future of food, and we are confident our next class does just that.”
