US-based pizza crusts manufacturer and distributor TNT Crust has purchased a new facility to expand its production capacity for an undisclosed amount.
Located in St. Charles, Missouri, the new production facility will support the company’s growth by allowing it to expand its production capacity across all its product lines.
TNT Crust CEO Scott McNair said: “This expansion represents a transformative milestone for TNT and one that we have been working towards since our acquisition by Peak Rock in 2018.
“We are very excited to have the opportunity to meaningfully grow with our valued customers and continue to support their commercial success for years to come.
“The new facility will be outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment and exemplifies TNT’s commitment to enhancing our production capabilities and leading the industry in quality, service and innovation.”
Covering twelve acres, TNT Crust’s new facility will add more than 100,000ft2 of space, supporting the company’s future growth.
TNT Crust expects the new facility to become operational by the second half of this year. It estimates the facility will create more than 100 jobs in the greater St. Louis region.
once operational, the new facility will complement TNT Crust’s current operations in Green Bay, Wisconsin. It will act as a strategic distribution point to serve new and existing customers.
TNT Crust also expects to expand its existing operations in Green Bay.
In September 2018, an affiliate of private equity firm Peak Rock Capital acquired TNT Crust from Tyson Foods.
Since then, TNT Crust has made significant investments in its manufacturing operations, personnel and new product development.
Peak Rock Capital managing director Robert Pistilli said: “We are enthusiastic about the progress that the TNT Crust team has made to date and this investment is a testament to Peak Rock’s support for the company.
“We look forward to finding additional avenues to help the company achieve its strategic growth plan in the future.”
