Norway-based biotech company Hofseth BioCare (HBC) has signed a comprehensive distribution agreement with functional ingredients provider Prinova Europe (Prinova).
Prinova will serve as the exclusive distributor of HBC’s branded marine products.
HBC extracts key ingredients from salmonid fish as a hydrolysed, soluble protein, calcium bone powder and oil.
According to the company, its entire product range is non-GMO and does not contain antibiotics, solvents or chemicals.
HBC CEO Roger Hofseth said: “HBC process is focused on sustainability and traceability concept. Optimal locations make it possible to deliver the freshest salmon products there is using the whole fish.
“With our traceability system and cooperation with our main suppliers, we are currently able to link the production process from fish eggs to final products. HBC is also certified sustainable by Friend of the Sea and is the pioneer in the global market for turning fish off-cuts into high-value nutrition for humans and pets.
“We see a broad application for our products especially for dietary supplements, sports powders and beverages. We are transparent with companies and have scientific studies proving each product’s benefits for specific health conditions.”
Products covered by the distribution agreement include ProGo Salmon Protein Hydrolysate, a soluble protein powder, as well as OmeGo Salmon Oil, which offers a full range of omega fatty acids oil, including Omega 3, 5, 6, 7, 9 and 11, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), docosapentaenoic acid (DPA) and natural amounts of antioxidants.
Prinova will also distribute CollaGo, a soluble type one and three collagen peptide powder and CalGo Marine Bone powder.
