US-based plant-based food company JUST has announced new partnerships to manufacture and distribute its JUST Egg product across North America, Latin America, Europe and East Asian markets.
JUST has partnered with the bakery firm Grupo Bimbo, as well as South Korean food company SPC Samlip and south-east Asia’s largest food company Betagro Group.
The company also announced that it has collaborated with the Latin American edible oil and fat producer Alianza Team and local delivery platform provider Delivery Hero.
JUST co-founder and CEO Josh Tetrick said: “Our ability to scale to meet the demand is our main focus in 2020. It’s humbling to see some of the world’s most influential food companies join us to meet the challenge.
“We’ve come to have an enormous amount of respect for their approach to innovation and commitment to building a stronger, healthier food system.
“Their partnership, along with having Jacob and Dana join us, is our now-public recipe to take another big step toward living out the mission of our company.”
JUST said that the new partnerships will enable it to access production facilities on multiple continents and create a platform to meet global demand for its products.
The company explained that new partnerships build on its previous collaborations with the European egg producer Eurovo Group and German poultry producer PHW Group.
Additionally, the company announced that it has expanded its board with the addition of Emeterra CEO Jacob R Robbins. It also added Dana Hollinger, an insurance industry executive and attorney, as a board observer and advisor.
In December, JUST acquired a 30,000ft² facility and 40 acres of land in Appleton, Minnesota, US, to expand its manufacturing capacity for JUST Egg.
The parties involved have not divulged any financial information.
