A number of seafood and products of animal origin (predominately raw cut chicken, beef knuckles and frozen prawns) supplied by The Chicken Guy Ltd. have not been produced in accordance with food hygiene and legislative requirements.

These products are not compliant with hygiene, labelling and traceability requirements and are deemed unsafe. They should not be consumed.

We have asked enforcement authorities to contact premises in their local areas who may sell the affected products to ensure that they are removed from sale. Affected products identified at any premises should be withdrawn and recalled.

If there is a problem with a food product that means it should not be sold, then it might be withdrawn (taken off the shelves) or recalled (when customers are asked to return the product).
