US-based agricultural biotechnology company Arcadia Biosciences has collaborated with GoodMills Innovation to sell its GoodWheat product across Europe.

The company claims that GoodWheat contains higher fibre content, fewer calories and has reduced allergenicity, with an extended shelf life.

The ingredients in GoodWheat are said to be the output of Arcadia’s ArcaTech platform, which has been designed to develop new wheat varieties using advanced non-GM techniques.

Arcadia Biosciences president and CEO Matthew Plavan said: “We are pleased to be working with GoodMills to introduce valued nutritional benefits to wheat-based products across Europe.

“GoodMills is an excellent partner with a strong focus on innovation. Together, we aim to introduce uniquely healthy products for the retail, consumer and foodservice sectors in Europe, beginning in 2020.”
