Givaudan and Novozymes have formed a strategic research partnership for the development of synergistic ingredients and technologies. The companies will jointly work on the R&D of sustainable solutions in the areas of food and cleaning.
The partnership is in line with Novozymes’ updated strategy Better Business with Biology, and Givaudan’s 2025 strategic goals to expand offering to consumers’ brands through innovative and sustainable solutions.

Givaudan brings the highest investment in R&D in the industry, has an in-depth understanding of consumers worldwide and creates the emotional signatures and food experiences for consumer brands.
Novozymes brings innovation with extensive know-how in enzymes and microorganisms with substantial investments in technology and R&D.
On the commercial side, Novozymes is in strong commercial partnerships with some of the largest companies in Food & Beverages and Household Care.
Together the two companies will work on specific projects to bring their respective customers a differentiating solution offering.
The two companies believe that because of the significant overlap of end-user markets, the partnership can generate customer value by combining the two companies’ capabilities and solutions.
