Ornua Ingredients Europe has expanded its pizza cheese portfolio with the launch of a new range under the Spinneyfields brand.

The company said that its new Spinneyfields Consistent Shred Pizza Cheese range has been developed for the UK pizza delivery market, which is valued approximately £2.1bn ($2.8bn).

Ornua Ingredients Europe managing director Joan Bombardo said: “At Ornua, we pride ourselves on being pizza cheese specialists, and today, we make cheese for over 100 million pizzas annually.

“Of course, we are currently living in unprecedented times, and at Ornua Ingredients Europe, we have worked hard to adapt and innovate to our customers’ changing requirements.”

“During the pandemic, the delivered pizza sector experienced rapid and sustained growth, and we believe that the launch of the new Spinneyfields, Consistent Shred Cheese range will enable our customers to capitalise on this growth.”

The company said that its new cheese range Spinneyfields Consistent Shred Pizza Cheese range is available in three different varieties, including Consistent Shred Mozzarella, Consistent Shred Mozzarella & Cheddar, and Consistent Shred Pizza Topper.

All the variants have been produced at Ornua’s Ledbury facility using dairy ingredients and refined using TCS technology.

Ornua further added that its TCS Technology helps in producing firm shred and consistent cheese size, with greater yields and less wastage.

Bombardo added: “This new range will provide consistent quality and reduced waste while at the same time providing generous pizza coverage, perfect melt and rich, creamy texture to ensure each delivery ends with a happy customer.”

The new range will be available in convenient chilled or individually quick-frozen packs.
