Tammy Blakemore, general manager of SORA Laboratories, is a "waymaker!" People enjoy working with Tammy because of her energy, enthusiasm and high level of success in achieving greatness.

When SORA was establishing its presence in the industry as a niche enzyme and probiotic assay lab, Tammy noticed they spent an enormous amount of time educating customers on how to declare the assayed enzyme and probiotic ingredient measurements on a product label. In observing the pattern, Tammy being a waymaker, took on the mission to narrow the education gap in labeling enzymes and probiotics.

With a solid SORA team and established credibility, Tammy became a trailblazer in the industry—educating and advocating for labeling enzymes and probiotics as they are assayed with compendial methods using reference standards.

Her leadership and ability to connect with others opened doors for the niche testing performed at SORA Laboratories to contribute to compendial reference standards. Her advocacy pressed on with writing articles for publication, speaking at workshops and with SORA becoming an independent lab to confirm accuracy and reproducibility of reference standards. 

Tammy is being honored because she is a trailblazing educator on enzymes and probiotics, but more importantly, for being an enduring woman of faith and a force of good in an industry that must always safeguard the consumers well-being with credible science.
