The full 69-page report — Raw Milk Vending Machine Market – Europe Industry Analysis, Size, Share, Growth, Trends and Forecast 2016 – 2024 — goes for $4,000, probably too pricy for most. But the teaser that goes with it from the market research firm Reportlinker has enough to suggest the raw milk vending machine business is warming up in Europe.
Before the paywall, the report paints a general picture of the product and the market in Europe.
“Raw milk vending machine consists of an automatic dispenser which dispenses ‘raw milk’ to a container/bottle after successful payment from the end-user,” say the researchers. “Some vending machines also provide container/bottle with the milk. Raw milk vending machine dispenses milk collected from cows, buffaloes, goats and sheep.”
Beyond the paywall, the report promises both revenue and volume for each sub-geographic region. In terms of geographical regions, the report segments the European raw milk vending machine market into EU7, Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Rest of Europe. EU7 is further segmented into the U.K., Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands, while CIS is divided into Russia and Rest of CIS.
The researchers appear to know the territory and the firm has done about 200 reports on raw milk prior to this one. Reportlinker finds the majority of Western European countries follow strict regulations regarding the consumption and sale of raw milk wheras Eastern European countries primarily do not.
Because of this variation in regulations across countries, the report also includes analysis of regulatory environment in the Europe market. Raw milk is directly sold to customers at farms in countries such as France, Germany, Denmark, Italy, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia, Lithuania, Ireland and the U.K.
They found many dairy farmers produce traditional cheese, buttermilk, yogurt and chocolate from raw milk in their farms. The major countries that have adopted raw milk vending machines include Italy, France, Romania, Germany, the U.K., Slovakia, Slovenia and Czech Republic.
According to Reportlinker, the key reason for adoption of raw milk vending machine was due to the revisions in regulations of respective countries regarding raw milk sale. Furthermore, majority of end-users in these countries prefer drinking raw milk and consuming raw milk related products due to their nutritional benefits.
The report says that while Spain, Poland and Norway restrict the sale of raw milk due to reported cases of food poisoning, in coming years, these countries might ease regulations on the sale of raw milk to help small farmers.
Factors that drive and restrain the growth of the raw milk vending machine market for each sub-region are discussed in the full report along with major strategies being used to increase the popularity of raw milk vending machines.
Manufacturers who offer raw milk vending machine in Europe, according to Reportlinker, include DF Italia S.R.L., Brunimat GmbH, Letina Inox D.O.O., Milk Automation S.R.O. and Risto Gbr.
