The Swiss Gastro Star AG and Eisberg Switzerland AG merge with retroactive effect as of 1st of January 2017 into one company named Gastro Star AG. Both companies are specialized in the production and sale of fresh convenience salads, vegetables and fruits. By merging the companies, the competencies are bundled in order to offer added value to the customers in retail and food service.

The new Gastro Star AG is part of the Eisberg Group, which operates internationally under the name Eisberg. With six processing plants in Poland, Romania, Switzerland and Hungary, the Eisberg Group supplies customers in 15 European countries with fresh convenience salads, vegetables and fruits. CEO of Gastro Star AG and CEO of the Eisberg Group is Christian Guggisberg. The Eisberg Group has been part of the Bell Group since 1st of May 2016, Gastrostar since 1st of January 2012.
