a2 Milk Company and China State Farm Holding Shanghai (CSFA Shanghai) have extended their strategic arrangements for a further three-year period, starting from 6 December.

CSFA Shanghai has served as the exclusive import agent and partner for a2 Milk’s infant nutrition products into mainland China since their launch in 2013.

It also provides importation services, local market regulation consultation and product traceability quality control solutions for a2 Milk’s business.

a2 Milk Company managing director and CEO Jayne Hrdlicka said: “This important relationship with the very well-respected China State Farm Holding Shanghai has been growing for several years and we continue to value their very strong support of our China business with their deep local knowledge, capability and relationships within the China market.

a2 Milk also extended its long-term infant formula supply agreement with New Zealand-based dairy processing company Synlait in July.

The two companies entered an initial agreement on 23 August 2016, which included the supply of a2 Platinum infant formula and other nutritional products for a minimum term of five years, with a rolling three-year term from 1 August.

The main aspects of the revised agreement include a two-year duration extension, which introduces a new minimum term of five years ending 31 July 2023.
