Korkuteli is the main fruit production area in Antalya, a city in southern Turkey. Korkuteli growers were mainly growing the black diamond variety of plums and the santa maria variety of pears, which were extensively exported, and now peaches from the Korkuteli plains and watermelons are starting to be exported as well. 

The products are mainly sold to Russia, Dubai and Northern Iraq.

The growers noted that the export market has been very beneficial for them this year and that they have started exports first with plums and pears and have now expanded the portfolio of exports to include other products grown in the region, such as watermelon and peach. In recent days, 56 trucks filled with fruit were leaving Korkuteli on their way to export markets.
