The kiwiberry is an emerging variety, known as the “king of the new generation of fruit”. It is native to China and is mainly grown in northeastern mountainous and hilly areas such as Liaoning, Jilin and Heilongjiang. It was later introduced into New Zealand and gradually developed. New Zealand imported Kiwiberies entered the Chinese market in 2010, radiating to large and medium-sized cities across the country and was popular with high-end consumers.

The domestically grown KiwiBerry has just started, the price is quite high, and the market space is huge. The price of imported KiwiBerry can reach more than 100 yuan. The domestic market is as good. The first-class fruit price can reach 120 yuan / kg and the market is still expanding. The industry expects that the KiwiBerry will be an emerging variety, as it is expected that the national planting area will eventually reach several million acres. At that time, KiwiBerry will enter thousands of households and become another industry star after blueberries.

Dandong is a representative production area of domestic KiwiBerry. As of 2017, Dandong Citys KiwiBerry industry has grown to more than 25,000 mu, and last years output was 500 tons. It has become the worlds largest KiwiBerry planting base. Dandongs KiwiBerry market also represents the current domestic market. This year, Dandong KiwiBerry production was affected by the weather, and its quality and yield were compromised.
