Fi Asia 2018, recently held in Jakarta over three days, closed to great acclaim from both visitors and exhibitors on Friday, 5 October 2018.

Another record breaker

The 23^rd edition of Fi Asia continued to grow in size and reputation, providing inspiration, innovation, and education to F&B industry in ASEAN and beyond. The exhibition utilised seven halls including Hall A1-A3, Hall B1-B2, and Hall D1-D2 which equals with 40% bigger expansion to 25,000 sqm. The spacious area attracted a record 22,176 food and beverage industry professionals from 66 countries, 15% increase over Fi Asia 2016, the last edition held in Indonesia. Visitors were able to meet face to face with more than 750 leading local, regional and international exhibitors, including subsidiary companies.

Getting educated

The tradeshow wasn??t the only aspect of Fi Asia 2018 that was well attended. Apart from being ASEAN??s largest gathering of the food and beverage industry, Fi Asia continues to play a key role in improving knowledge of the latest industry research, trends and ingredients. Visitors were able to join more than 60 thought-provoking conference, technicals seminars and Beverage ingredients theatre focusing on the future of food, Halal certification in Indonesia, and market updates.

Other highlights that facilitated visitors identifying elements needed to develop their business included Innovation Tour, Innovation Zone, Discovery Tour, Supplier Finder Desk and Business Matching Programme.

Planning for more growth

Fi Asia continue to work closely with industry partners to take the event to the next level, and have already begun planning Fi Asia 2018 which will be held on 03 - 05 October at the Jakarta International Expo, Indonesia.

Fi Asia has consolidated its position as the meeting place for food and beverage professionals in ASEAN and the surrounding regions. Fi Asia 2019 will be held on 11-13 September, Bangkok, Thailand and Fi Asia 2020 will be held on 9-11 September 2020, Jakarta, Indonesia.
