Two foods are being recalled; Ganaderos Borges Pork Patties for foreign materials, and Smartfood popcorn for undeclared milk. No adverse reactions or illnesses have been reported to date in either recall.
 

Ganaderos Brothers of Puerto Rico is recalling about 14,760 pounds of pork patty products because they may be contaminated with foreign materials, more specifically metal pieces. This product is sold to schools, but it is not part of food provided by the USDA National School Lunch Program. A complaint from a school that received the product prompted the recall.
 

The recalled product is for raw pork patty items that were produced on October 26, 2018. It is 10 pound cardboard boxes that contain 54 3-ounce pieces of  “Pork Patties for Institutional Use Only” with the Ganaderos Borges, Inc. logo. The product is stamped with a production date of 26 OCT 2018 and an expiration date of 16/11/18. It was shipped to institutional locations in Puerto Rico.
 

The second recall is for Frito-Lay Smartfood Delight Sea Salt Flavored popcorn, for undeclared milk. The bags were filled with cheese flavored tortilla chips that contain milk. Anyone who is allergic to milk or who is lactose intolerant could have a reaction to this product.
 

The recalled product is 1/2 ounce bags of Smartfood Delight Sea Salt Flavored popcorn packaged in the following variety pack offerings which have “use by” dates and 11-digit manufacturing codes: 16 count Smartfood Delight Variety Pack Sack with “use by” dates of 4 DEC 2018 OR 18 DEC 2018, and 11-digit manufacturing code that will include the letter combination AM in the second and third position (example: xAMxxxxxxxx); and 16 count Crunch & Pop Mix Variety Pack Sack with “use by” dates of 18 DEC 2018 OR 1 JAN 2019, and 11-digit manufacturing code that will include the letter combination AM in the second and third position (example: xAMxxxxxxxx). The individual recalled 1/2 ounce bags have a “guaranteed fresh” date of 1 JAN 2019 and a 9-digit manufacturing code of 615325107.
 

The popcorn was sold in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and Wyoming in retail stores, and was also sold through websites. You can throw these products away, or return them to the place of purchase for a refund.
