Indias Ministry of Commerce and Industry recently issued a statement saying that the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India has signed a protocol with the General Administration of Customs of China to begin exporting fish meal and oil to China.
The statement said that Indian Deputy Minister of Commerce and Industry, Anupu Wadewan, signed the Protocol on Hygienic and Quarantine Requirements for Indian Fish Meal and Fish Oil Transport to China with Vice Director-General Hu Wei on 28, which means that China and India have reached consensus on sanitary and inspection requirements for Indian fish meal and fish oil transported to China. This will further enrich the content of bilateral economic and trade cooperation between China and India.
The statement said that the two sides also had in-depth discussions on the access of dairy products, fruits, tobacco and other products. Representatives of Indias animal husbandry, dairy industry, fisheries and agricultural cooperation departments and agencies participated in the discussion.
