Azelis has signed an agreement extension with global nature-based ingredient solutions provider CP Kelco to distribute the latter’s products in Nordic countries.

Under the terms of the agreement, the company will exclusively distribute CP Kelco products, which can be used in food and beverage applications.

The products will be distributed in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland and the Faroe Islands markets.

CP Kelco Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region vice-president Niels Thestrup said: “We are pleased to expand our relationship with Azelis into the Nordic markets.

Beginning 23 June, Azelis will distribute CP Kelco products, including pectin, carrageenan, gellan gum and Simplesse micro-particulated whey protein concentrate.

The agreement is an extension of the existing distribution agreements between the two companies for Asian and European markets.

Azelis EMEA president and CEO Anna Bertona said: “High-quality ingredients from a market leader such as CP Kelco complement our current portfolio range in the Nordics, enabling our technical application team to offer the best possible solutions to customers.

“At the same time, it allows us better access to segments in the food industry like fruit, dairy, beverage and confectionery.”

Currently, Azelis operates 16 food and nutrition application laboratories, which are located in Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, India, Indonesia, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Poland, Romania, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and in the UK.
