Smithfield Foods brand Carando has expanded its products offerings with the addition of handheld, fully cooked calzones.

With the new product launch, Carando intends to further increase its presence in the deli section.

Smithfield Foods Carando brand manager Diane Purnell said: “As a leader in Italian meats, we are excited to expand our portfolio and bring more of the traditional taste of Carando to consumers.

“Our new fully cooked calzones offer convenient, on-the-go options for consumers looking to enjoy an easy meal at any time.”

Carando’s new calzones line-up features three flavours, including pepperoni, meatball, and chicken parmesan.

The company claims that the line-up offers a simple, no-prep meal without compromising taste.

Each 6oz calzone can be purchased for a suggested retail price (SRP) of $2.99.
