US-based dairy cooperative Darigold has unveiled its organisational changes to fast-track its long-term transformational strategy for its global ingredients business.

Darigold, the marketing and processing subsidiary of the Northwest Dairy Association (NDA), announced its ten-year transformation and growth strategy in 2018, which included a series of investments such as the construction of a global ingredients plant.

Darigold appointed Matthew Sagendorf to lead the construction and manage the plant. Sagendorf holds more than two decades of experience in engineering and growth projects.

He will be responsible for supervising and managing all on-site planning and construction works of the facility, as well as start-up and commissioning.

The selecion for a site for the new ingredient plant is ongoing, with an announcement from the company next year, along with more specific details about the intended final products for commercialisation.

As part of its organisational restructuring plan, Darigold also appointed Joe Coote as its global ingredients president.
