Azelis will distribute Kerry Group’s solutions for meat, ready meals and plant-based food processors on the Polish market. This extended agreement builds further on the existing global partnership between the two companies.
This mandate extension underlines Azelis’ global strategy to organically grow and build substantial partnerships with its key suppliers. It also allows Azelis to further expand its footprint in the meat, ready meals and plant-based food market in general and the Polish food and health market specifically.
As a long-term distribution partner of Kerry Group in Europe and the Americas, Azelis has demonstrated steady organic growth, stimulated by its strong formulation expertise.
Azelis’ innovation capabilities as well as its extensive product knowledge and experience were vital for Kerry Group to choose Azelis for this specific new territory.
“This distribution agreement allows us to further expand our footprint in the meat sector in Poland, following our acquisition of Euroconsultant last year which enhanced our position in the smoke flavor market,” explains Renata Bugiel, Regional Managing Director Azelis Poland and Ukraine. “We are very excited to present our expanded product portfolio to our meat, ready meals and plant-based food customers.”
“Kerry’s vast and innovative portfolio enables Azelis to further enhance its customer solutions while providing a combination of signature taste, texture, functionality, improved nutrition and clean label formulations,” adds Michał Stachowiak, Regional Commercial Director Kerry Poland, Ukraine and Baltics.
“Working with Azelis helps us to extend our existing presence on the Polish market and we are confident that Azelis’ reach and know-how is a very important asset for us in this regard.”
Azelis has 19 food and nutrition application laboratories in Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Ivory Coast, Morocco, New Zealand, Poland, Romania, Russia, Turkey, UK and Ukraine.
This latest agreement closely follows Azelis signing another agreement last month to acquire the distribution assets of the Indonesian company PT Primaditha Jaya Mandiri, specializing in import and distribution of food ingredients for processed meat, beverage and savory segments in the greater Jakarta area of Indonesia. The acquisition of Primaditha will enhance the position of Azelis on the Indonesian food market and will provide a platform for accelerated growth in this industry. As part of Azelis, Primaditha will benefit from an increased geographic market coverage in Indonesia. Indonesia’s food and beverage segment is driven by the growing purchasing power and increasing access to premium products in the country, making it a strategic market for Azelis.
