Post Holdings has reached a distribution agreement with Hungry Planet, a manufacturer of plant-based meat analogue products.

The agreement will allow Post to distribute Hungry Planet’s products, which include meat-analogue beef patties, sausage, crab cakes and other items. Post will also invest an undisclosed sum in Hungry Planet.

This is the second deal Post has made with a manufacturer of plant analogue proteins. Its Michael Foods division distributes Just Egg analogues from Eat Just.

“Demand for plant-based meats is growing. We are excited to announce this partnership with Hungry Planet and to continue to offer more innovative product options to our customers,” Michael Foods president Mark Westphal said in a statement.
