Prolactal is pushing “the power of proteins” with an array of versatile solutions for organic yogurts, drinks and infant formulas that keep pace with demand for quality taste, texture and stability. Prolactal, a member of ICL Food Specialties, has expanded its range of high-quality dairy ingredients which are processed in-house along the complete supply chain from local milk to ready ingredient solutions.

PROGANIC is a flexible new line of organic milk and whey proteins. Proteins from this line can be used for protein enrichment of organic dairy products including sports drinks, Greek-style yogurt or soft cheeses. 

According to Prolactal, in yogurt, they enhance both look and mouthfeel, making it glossier and smoother. PROGANIC proteins are also heat stable and have high calcium content. 

The company says that due to its commitment and investment in its production facilities, it can meet the highest demands because all ingredients for infant formula come from one provider. 

“Our investments make sure we have the production capacities and the quality necessary to serve growing markets such as organic infant formula,” said Johannes Mayer, Global Lead Dairy Proteins, Prolactal. “We can now supply customers with all dairy-based organic ingredients required for infant formula out of one plant.” 

The key products belonging to the portfolio of organic infant formula ingredients are demineralized whey, lactose, whey proteins and milk powders.

A new spray tower and a new raw milk reception both finished construction in 2015. The company is now able to process especially organic milk directly from the supplying farmers. It therefore has full control of its supply chain, ensuring highest quality of its products.
