Potato-based starch and fibre product producer Lyckeby has announced a strategic alliance with Ingredion for the distribution of its potato starch and waxy barley ingredients in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), as well as the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.
The alliance is expected to combine Lyckebys ingredients with Ingredion’s texture and application expertise to open new possibilities in various food applications
In addition to EMEA and APAC, the ingredients will also be available to customers in the UK, Ireland, Turkey and South Africa.
Lyckeby is a Sweden-based farmer-owned company, which manages and operates the entire supply chain from seed cultivation to food ingredients production, while Ingredion is a global ingredient solutions company.
IMCD has signed an agreement with Givaudan to distribute its products across the food and nutrition markets in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Benelux, and Nordics.
The agreement supports Givaudan’s strategy to form a partnership in order to increase its customer base.
Through the partnership, IMCD hopes to benefit from Givaudan’s flavour technology and solutions, along with its customer service and support facility in Western Europe.
IMCD is an ingredient and speciality chemical supplying company based in the Netherlands, while Givaudan is a Swiss flavour and fragrance firm.
