My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream, a manufacturer of mochi dough-wrapped ice cream bites, is launching a line of non-dairy, vegan offerings: My/Mo Mochi Cashew Cream Frozen Desserts.
Made with a scoop of frozen cashew cream wrapped in soft rice dough, the dessert contains 100 calories per bite-size ball and is available in chocolate, salted caramel, strawberry and vanilla varieties.
“The launch of My/Mo Mochi Cashew Cream Frozen Dessert will introduce a new set of consumers to the colorful, bite-size snacking experience and strengthen the brands commitment to revolutionizing the snack world,” the company said.
My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream is the latest ice cream brand to enter the dairy-free frozen dessert market. In late September, Halo Top Creamery debuted a line of non-dairy and vegan-friendly frozen desserts featuring such flavors as peanut butter cup, chocolate, oatmeal cookie, sea salt caramel, caramel macchiato, cinnamon roll and chocolate covered banana. In February 2016, Unilever P.L.C.’s Ben & Jerry’s brand launched its line of certified vegan non-dairy frozen desserts made with almond milk and fair-trade, non-G.M.O. ingredients. The original line consisted of four varieties: P.B. and cookies, coffee caramel fudge, chocolate fudge brownie and chunky monkey. This February, the brand added three new flavors to its vegan line: cherry Garcia, coconut seven layer bar and caramel almond brittle.
